Pennsylvania offers a rich tapestry of historical landmarks, pretty landscapes, and exciting city life, making it a fantastic destination for van lifers seeking a mix of culture and nature. This guide provides you with the best places to stay with your camper van, must-see destinations, travel itineraries, and insights into boondocking opportunities across the state.

WHERE TO STAY WITH YOUR CAMPER VAN IN PENNSYLVANIA

AREAS TO STAY:

1. Ohiopyle State Park
Located in the Laurel Highlands, Ohiopyle State Park is known for its beautiful waterfalls and extensive network of hiking and biking trails. It provides campground facilities perfect for van lifers looking to explore nature.

2. Ricketts Glen State Park
This park is famous for its 22 named waterfalls. The campground here offers a base to explore the surrounding natural beauty, including the challenging Falls Trail.

3. Hershey Park Camping Resort
For those who want a mix of outdoor living with some family fun, this resort offers both camping spaces and proximity to Hersheypark, a popular theme park.

iOverlander: Is a wonderful non-profit project that shows you where to boondock, fill-up on water, and camp!

However, personally, my favorite Harvest Host here is Bent Limb Farms. I arrived late at night, and the first thing I saw when I woke up was an alpaca. Below is Frank the Alpaca hanging outside my Brooklyn Campervans van.
