WHY ARE MORE NON-PROFITS USING A JUSTICE BUS?

While the Legal Aid Society has multiple locations, the outreach and work done with one Justice Bus speaks volumes. This summer it has stopped at 31 NY City Housing Authority developments to provide resources to those impacted by poverty, racism, over-policing and housing issues.

It has also developed proactive strategies to reduce gun and gang violence by providing legal representation through all 5 boroughs in NYC. Beyond that, it has conducted extensive community outreach including legal clinics, "Know Your Rights" trainings and more.

While the Legal Aid Society has been around 145 years, the Justice Bus has taken outreach to the next level.

The Justice Bus essentially can do everything an office can and anywhere. With its modular design it can be configured for multiple purposes:
